City Leaders Prepare for Opening of ‘Winter Wonderland at the Beach’

City leaders and businesses are anxiously preparing for the opening of ‘Winter Wonderland at the Beach’. The inaugural event opens on Friday at the Burroughs and Chapin Pavilion Place and includes a walk-through light show as well as an outdoor ice rink. Mayor Brenda Bethune expects the festival to draw out-of-town visitors and locals to the area which benefits local businesses. Bethune added the city has plans to make ‘Winter Wonderland at the Beach’ bigger every year. The festival starts Friday and runs through January 2nd!
