Teen Arrested in Connection to Sexual Assault Near CCU

An arrest was made in connection to a sexual assault investigation at an off-campus apartment near Coastal Carolina University. The Conway Police Department arrested 17 year old Jareal Warran on Tuesday. Warren is charged with attempted murder, armed robbery, assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, first-degree criminal sexual conduct, kidnapping, carjacking, possession of a weapon during the commission of violent crime and possession of a weapon by certain persons. He is currently being held at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center. Authorities are still searching for Mije Basnight a second person of interest in the case.
