Reports Surface of Laundrie Family Camping Trip Before Petito Was Reported Missing

New reports that Brian Laundrie had gone camping with his family earlier this month before Gabby Petito was reported missing have surfaced. According to officials, the Laundrie family had stayed at a campground in Florida 75 miles away from their North Port home between September 6th and 8th. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said they will not be investigating at the campground and is ‘unaware’ of any confirmed sightings on Laundrie there but the FBI is in possession of surveillance video from the park during that time frame.

Laundrie’s parents told authorities he was last seen September 14th leaving their home for a nature reserve with a backpack. Ten days before that, he purchased a phone at an AT&T store and according to family attorney Steve Bertolino, Laundrie left it and his wallet at the home when he left. Authorities searched the nature reserve last week and issued an arrest warrant for Laundrie after Petito’s remains were found on September 19th. There are reports of Laundrie being on the Appalachian Trail in North Carolina.
