Is it Rude to Hang Up on a Scammer?

Polite or not, experts say the best thing to do is end the call right away.

Hanging up on someone is usually considered rude but what if it’s on a scammer? This poll was done in England, so maybe they’re just a lot more polite over there because 1 in 5 in the U.K. say they won’t hang up on a scammer because they feel like it’s inconsiderate. Another 20% will at least hear them out before they hang up, even if they already know it’s a scam. Almost half who’ve fallen for a scam say the person who called them was really friendly and polite.  But, experts say the best thing to do is end the call right away.
