One Person Died After A Small Plane Crash In Horry County
One person is dead following a small plane crash in Horry County on Friday. According to Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler the victim has been identified as 60 year old James Harper of North Myrtle Beach. Harper died on the scene from multiple injuries sustained during the crash. A release from the FAA said the twin-engine piper PA-31 crashed in a field located on Socastee Boulevard around 6:25 p.m. The plane left from MYR for Grand Strand Airport and the pilot was the only person on board. He was trying to return to MYR when the crash occurred. The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board are still investigating.
