The police chief made up a suspicious person report so he could ditch a public meeting! He went so far as to drive all the way down to the area where the made up person was.

We’ve all wanted to fake excuses to get out of really boring meetings and that’s exactly what this cop did.  The police chief made up a suspicious person report so he could ditch a public meeting! He went so far as to drive all the way down to the area where the “person” was. and he even entered a false report about it.  But when his colleagues caught on, it cost his job.
