Why Dating is Not for All Birds

Chicken is in short supply and Tyson is partly blaming its roosters.

Tyson chicken is crying foul. It turns out even birds have trouble dating!  Chicken is in short supply and Tyson is partly blaming its roosters. The company says it tried out a new kind and the breeding birds aren’t living up to their get-up-and-go farmyard stereotype.  Now, Tyson is trying a different type of rooster.  It’s bringing the original kind of male birds home to roost.  It’s not just the love lives of birds causing the shortage, the company says a winter storm affected its operations in Texas.  Plus, it’s had trouble retaining workers,  some poultry plants have been COVID-19 hotspots.
