A local non-profit group is seeking military veterans as volunteers. The Socastee Pantry is set to open in June by Faith Outreach Ministries and the non profit will be run entirely by volunteers who are veterans. The pantry will be at The Father’s House church on Highway 17 bypass in Myrtle Beach. Director of the pantry, Larry Simmons says it will take about 35 people to run the non-profit from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and 7 to 10 a.m. on Saturdays. A ribbon-cutting is scheduled for June 1.
