Woman Accused of Killing 11-year-old Stepson Requests Representation

A woman accused of killing her stepson has reversed a decision regarding her trial. Letecia Stauch, accused of killing 11-year-old Gannon Stauch has now asked for council after originally planning to represent herself. According to court documents filed last week, Stauch requested counsel from the court and will now be provided a public defender in a hearing scheduled for tomorrow. After she reported Gannon missing in January of 2020, his remains were found in Florida. Stauch faces charges of first degree murder, child abuse resulting in death, tampering with human remains, tampering with physical evidence and crimes of violence. a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Stauch May 20, 2021.
