Eight people were injured and one is missing following an explosion and fire at a paint manufacturing plant overnight in Ohio.

Eight people were injured and one is missing following an explosion and fire at a paint manufacturing plant overnight in Ohio. At 12:05 a.m., authorities were called to the second alarm fire at Yenkin-Majestic Paints in Columbus. Of the victims, five people were wounded and taken to local hospitals, 2 had to be rescued by firefighters and one is still missing. The two that were rescued were listed in critical condition at an Ohio hospital but reports now say they are stable.
Early this morning, crews were still searching the site and working to extinguish the fire. Meanwhile, some nearby businesses had to be evacuated. At this time, the cause of the explosion is unknown. according to the Columbus Fire Battalion Chief Steve Martin, hazmat teams were called in to assist with any possible contamination issues.
