10 Killed in Colorado Shooting Including 1 Police Officer

Ten people including a Police Officer are dead after a shooting at a grocery store in Boulder Colorado yesterday. Boulder Police were called to an active shooter at a King Soopers around 2:45 p.m. 21-year-old Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa is now in custody but authorities have not shared the type of weapon he used or any possible motive. Boulder County District Attorney Michael Dougherty said “I promise … we will secure justice and do everything we must do to get justice in this case.” The slain officer, 51 year old Eric Talley, was one of the first to respond to the scene. Talley joined the Boulder Police force in 2010 and leaves behind his wife and 7 children. Within the last hour, Officers released the identities of the other shooting victims with their ages ranging from 20 to 65.  This incident comes less than a week after the three spa shootings in the Atlanta area that left 8 people dead. In the last week in the U.S. there have been at least 7 shootings in which at least 4 people were injured or killed.
