Georgetown County Votes to Keep Mask Mandate

Officials in Georgetown County Council voted to extend the county’s mask ordinance Tuesday, March 9, 2021. The mandate will stay in effect through April 27th after the county Council voted 5 to 2 for an extension. Anyone over the age of 10 entering a foodservice establishment, grocery store, retail store, or pharmacy located within the corporate boundaries of Georgetown County must continue to wear a face covering. Any person who fails to comply with the ordinance could be charged with a misdemeanor offense, and required to pay a fine of $25.00 per occurrence.
