SC Law Enforcement Prepares for Potential Violence at Capitol
State law enforcement is bracing themselves amid the new FBI warning of more potential violence. Intelligence gathered indicated threats have been made for more armed protests at Capitols across the nation, including South Carolina. The South Carolina Department of Public Safety, the Bureau of Protective Services, the State Law Enforcement Division, and local forces have all heightened security, especially in Columbia, in anticipation. Governor McMaster has said he “has great confidence” in the state’s law enforcement.
