Campaign Travel Temporarily Suspend for Kamala Harris After Covid-19 Scare

Senator Kamala Harris’ campaign travel was halted after two members of her staff contracted the coronavirus. Her communications director, Liz Allen, and a flight crew member had not been in close contact with the California senator 48 hours prior to their positive results. And they wore masks and social distanced, meaning Harris will not have to quarantine. However, her trip to North Carolina yesterday was cancelled, as well as the rest of the events she had scheduled through this Sunday. This was only out of an abundance of caution. Joe Biden also had another Covid scare after an airline company staff member tested positive. The airline staffer accompanied the former vice president during flights on Monday and Tuesday before testing positive. Fortunately, Biden did not come into close contact with the individual and does not need to self isolate, either. Biden and Harris continue to take Covid-19 tests regularly and are still producing negative results.
