Injured LA Sheriff’s Deputy Saved Partner’s Life After Shooting in Compton

New details have come to light in relation to the unprovoked shooting of two LA Sheriff’s Deputies in Compton over the weekend. A 31-year-old female and a 24-year-old male, who had been with the force less than 14 months, were sitting in a patrol car at the
MLK Transit Center when a gunman approached the passenger side. He fired into the vehicle window, shooting them four to five times each, before running away. It’s now been revealed that the female officer was able to call for help and then save her partner’s life by fashioning a tourniquet and applying it. She did this all while she also bled from her gunshot wounds, including one on her face. In what’s being called a miracle, the two deputies are now in stable condition and expected to recover following surgery. The suspect still has not been identified but the reward for anyone who can provide information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspect has been increased from $100,000 to $175,000.
