Governor McMaster Announces Solutions for Students Lacking Internet Access

This morning, Governor McMaster and State Superintendent of Education Molly Spearman announced some new solutions for students’ internet problems. Classes resumed yesterday. However, for families living in more rural areas, some students are struggling to get connected for online or hybrid learning. In order to bridge the gap of internet access, the governor and superintendent proposed some new solutions. That includes using datacasting as well as expediting the expansion of broadband internet statewide. The governor considers this a vital need for a temporary situation. He said they are working as fast as they can, but it may take some time.
