South Carolina Covid-19 Cases Surpass 100,000

Coronavirus cases in South Carolina officially surpassed 100,000 yesterday with almost 2,000 deaths reported. There were 718 newly confirmed cases with 6 new probable cases along with 17 additional confirmed deaths and one new probable death. But there is some good news. Yesterday marked the first time in 34 days that DHEC officials reported fewer than 1,000 Covid-19 cases in South Carolina. Some Grand Strand hospitals have also confirmed they are beginning to see a decrease in Covid-19 patients. However, they warn this does not mean the worst may be behind us.
