Major Flooding, Fallen Debris Causes Road Closures
Flooding and damage caused by falling debris was also widespread across numerous counties. Last night there were reports of trees blocking roadways in both Horry and Darlington Counties. Roadway flooding also impacted Horry and Georgetown Counties. North Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue is urging people to stay off the roads for fear of stranded drivers, especially Main Street which is closed from Hillside Drive to Ocean Boulevard due to flooding. They said emergency personnel is needed for more dire incidents. Beach access 11 at Sunset Drive is also completely inaccessible.
