Hurricane Leads to Trash Pick-Up Delays in Myrtle Beach Tomorrow

Numerous warnings have been issued for Horry and Georgetown Counties as the hurricane approaches. The peak of the quick-moving storm is expected to hit the Carolinas sometime this evening into the overnight. Currently in effect are tropical storm and hurricane warnings, a flash flood watch for the entire area and a storm surge warning for Horry and Georgetown County beaches. Residents are encouraged to bring in or secure any outside objects, including trash. The city of Myrtle Beach announced tomorrow’s trash pick-up will be delayed. Weather permitting, pick up is expected to begin at 8 a.m. Officials warn against setting your trash out if you are in Zone 2 until winds have died down.
