Officials Accuse President Trump of Using Inappropriate Rhetoric Towards Other World Leaders

White House and intelligence officials have said President Trump was “consistently unprepared” for serious conversations with other world leaders. Those making these new accusations include National Security Advisers H.R. McMaster and John Bolton, Defense Secretary James Mattis, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, and more. They claim the president often used “abusive” rhetoric when speaking to other powerful leaders during hundreds of highly classified phone calls. They also allege the president showed no signs of improving his conversational skills over his years in office and led many to believe he posed a threat to national security. It’s suggested the president also “regularly bullied and demeaned” U.S. allies, including UK Prime Minister Theresa May. President Trump is accused of calling her weak and lacking in courage. It’s also reported the president called German Chancellor Angela Merkel “stupid.” Fortunately, there have also been several sources who reported instances where the president did act reasonably and responsibly during these conversations.
