Virginia Man Arrested for Driving into Protesters Admits to Being a KKK Leader
A man who ran over protesters in Virginia openly admitted to being a KKK leader. On Sunday, police responded to a Black Lives Matter protest in Richmond after reports came in of a man trying to ram his car into the crowds. Nobody was critically injured and only one victim suffered minor injuries. 36-year-old Harry Rogers was quickly arrested at the scene. It is unclear when, but at some point Rogers admitted to law enforcement that he was a “leader of the Ku Klux Klan and a propagandist for confederate ideology.” Rogers is charged with attempted malicious wounding, felony vandalism, and assault and battery. Police are still deciding, upon his admission, if they should add hate crime charges as well. He was arraigned yesterday morning and is being held without bond. His next court hearing is scheduled for August 18th.
