PALM Charter High School Graduation Took Place at Myrtle Beach Speedway This Weekend

PALM Charter High School graduates were able to participate in a special ceremony on the Myrtle Beach Speedway this weekend. PALM, which is an acronym for Palmetto Academy of Learning Motorsports, is the first of it’s kind in the U.S. Principal Avery Moore said it was a particularly hard year, especially after a student was seriously injured in a DUI-related car crash in February. Jacob Welsh sustained numerous broken bones and internal injuries, was in a medically induced coma, and in intensive care for two months. This weekend he was among the 35 graduating seniors to accept their diplomas and do a victory lap around the track.
