Florence County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Arrested for Bribery
A Florence County Sheriff’s Lieutenant was arrested on an ethics act bribery charge. An investigation into 48-year-old Mark Fuleiahn began after the FCSO received a tip he might be involved with illegal gambling. It was then proved Fuleiahn received monetary bribes in exchange for information and services that were used in order to protect and continue the illegal gambling. Since the arrest, he’s been dismissed from his position and faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and a maximum fine of $10,000, as well as permanent disbarment from being a public official.
