Keeping Your Property Safe During Holiday Travel

With the holidays officially here, officials are issuing a warning to residents with plans to travel.

The Conway Police Department says there are things to do to make sure your property stays safe while you’re away and to help you get to your destination as safely as possible. Sergeant Darren Alston says for residents going out of town, ask your neighbor to pick up your newspaper and mail. Also, don’t post on social media your plans to travel.  While you’re on the road to your destination, make sure valuables and anything you buy is in the trunk or out of the view of the car’s windows. Last but not least, Alston says to keep your eyes off your phone and on the road.
