Store fires employee after customer claims she was racially profiled
OXFORD, AL (WFXB) – Victoria’s Secret is apologizing after a shopper claims she was racially-profiled in the store and asked to leave by the manager.
Kimberly Houzah said she was shopping alone when an African American woman that she did not know quickly fled from the store. Victoria’s Secret employees claim the unidentified woman was apparently shoplifting. Houzah says the manager of the store then looked at her, and another African American woman shopping, and told them to leave.
Houzah posted an 11-minute Facebook live video, which inspired around 50 people – including clergy and the NAACP – to return to the store with her, Thursday, in protest.
