South Carolina drivers ranked third worst in the nation

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WFXB) – If you ever get frustrated behind the wheel here in the Palmetto State, it turns out…you’re not alone. A recent study ranks South Carolina drivers third worst in nation.

According, South Carolina has been ranked the highest in careless driving, speeding and driving-related fatalities. The AAA says South Carolina has a high number of rural roads, which are usually the most risky because they lack shoulders and other features usually found on urban roads.

North Carolina fared better, but not by much! Tarheel drivers are considered to be the 12th worst in the nation.
