Analysis ranks Carolinas among worst states to live in

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WFXB) – A new report gives South Carolina a big thumbs down. It considers the Palmetto State one of the worst places in America to live in.

24-7 Wall St. ranked South Carolina at 41  out of the 50 states based on unemployment, poverty and life expectancy. Despite the higher-than-average violent crime rate in our state, the population in South Carolina is on the rise. Our neighboring Tarheel state ranked a little better at 37th, making it the 14th worst state to live in.
