Thanksgiving travel expected to be at 9-year high
(CNN) – AAA is calling it the biggest Thanksgiving rush in years, as more than 48.7 million Americans are expected to take to the highways, skies and seas this holiday.
It’s all thanks to the economy and consumer confidence. AAA says this year’s increase in travel would mark the eighth year of growth, boosting totals to the highest volume since 2007.
Driving remains the most popular mode of transportation between November 23rd and 27th, as 43 million travelers are expected to take to the roads this year. Driving does come with major perks– gas prices will be the second-cheapest in nearly a decade!
