Obamacare price hike

Rates rise by double-digits for Obamacare next year

(FOX News) – Another piece of bad news for Obamacare.

A government report says health care premiums under the affordable care act will jump an average of 22% for the benchmark silver plan next year. That means it will cost nearly $300 a month.

The figure is based on prices for a 27-year-old enrollee in the 39 states that use the federal exchange. The hike is being blamed on insurers raising prices and reducing their presence on the exchanges, due primarily to stem losses from sicker-than-anticipated customers.
