President Obama tells Trump to ‘stop whining’

POTUS roasts GOP candidate ahead of final state dinner

(CNN) – Ahead of his final state dinner Tuesday, President Obama had some harsh words for Donald Trump before Wednesday night’s debate.

“You start whining before the game’s even over, if whenever things are going badly for you and you lose you start blaming somebody else, then you don’t have what it takes to be in this job,” said President Obama at a joint news conference with Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi at the White House Tuesday.

The President and the First Lady welcomed Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and his wife as their final guests Tuesday night. the meal was provided by celebrity Chef Mario Batali and featured music by pop rocker Gwen Stefani. The visit by Renzi not only marks a closing chapter in Obama’s presidency, but also a rekindling of relations between the two countries.
