Super Bowl Travel Packages Going Fast
CHARLOTTE, NC– Getting tickets to Super Bowl 50 will cost you an arm and a leg. But getting a flight to the Bay Area may be even more difficult.
Travel agents at Mann Travels say the price for a plane ticket, hotel and Super Bowl tickets can top $9,000. But most flights to the Bay Area are already fully booked.
Fans desperate to watch the Panthers do have one option. A one-day round trip on the red eye.
“Panther fever has gripped the Carolinas, and so not everybody can take off three or four days at a moment’s notice and get to San Francisco and spend the weekend there, but they still want to go to the game,” said Mann Travels manager Roni Fishkin. “For people just going Sunday and come back Monday and get the whole experience of being at the game.”
Those flights can be more expensive, but you won’t be paying for hotel stay, so agents say it would balance out the cost.
