Approx. 30,000 Send Panthers Off to Super Bowl

CHARLOTTE, NC — The Panthers leave for the Bay Area on Sunday, and more than 30,000 fans gathered in Romare Bearden Park to send them off Friday.

“We’re going to the Super Bowl, and we’re bringing it home!” shouted John Moore.

Fans say the team, full of personality, won them over.

“We’re so happy,” said Gina Moore. “I just love how Cam gives those balls to the little kids.”

After 15-1 regular season, fans got what they wanted: the players.

Josh Norman and Thomas Davis were among the group that took the stage to send a message.

“We did that because we had Panther Nation behind us the whole way,” said Davis.
