Washington Lawmaker Proposes Bill To Make Cursive Handwriting Mandatory

A Senator in Washington state has proposed a bill causing a big debate on both sides.  The bill would require students to learn cursive handwriting in school.  The lawmaker argues that being able to write and read cursive makes people ‘American’, but the school says they want to place more emphasis on keyboarding skills.
