Cam Tosses Seattle Flag Following Win
Charlotte, N.C. — Cam Newton had some fun, at the expense of a Seattle Seahawks ’12th man’ flag, following the Panthers’ 31-24 victory over the Seahawks.
While making his rounds to high five and celebrate with the fans at Bank of America Stadium, someone in the stands handed the star quarterback a Seattle Seahawks flag, which he promptly crumpled up and threw away in an exaggerated motion.
Earlier this season Newton ripped down a Green Bay Packers’ fan’s sign that was attached to the railing near the tunnel where the Panthers enter the field. Newton said that it wasn’t a sign of disrespect to the Packers or their fans, but rather a show of respect for the Panthers’ home field.
The Panthers, who are undefeated at home, have one more home game remaining this season as they host the Arizona Cardinals next Sunday, with an opportunity to go to the Superbowl on the line. Let’s hope that Cam and the boys continue to protect their house.
