Panthers Cam Newton Named NFC Offensive Player Of Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Panthers quarterback Cam Newton has been named NFC Offensive Player of the Week.

This award is nothing new for Newton.  He has won it a total of five times so far this season.

Newton helped the Panthers take down the Buccaneers 38-10 last week.  He completed 21-26 passes for 293 passing yards, had two rushing touchdowns and two passing touchdowns.

The Panthers finished the regular season with a 15-1 record and are the number 1 seed in the NFC playoffs.
