Cam Newton Nominated For Fed-Ex Air Player Of The Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The NFL announced today that Panthers Cam Newton is a finalist for this week’s FedEx Air Player of the Week award

Newton was nominated for his outstanding performance against the New York Giants, where he threw for 340 yards and five touchdowns for a 116.9 passer rating and rushed for 100 yards in the Panthers’ 38-35 victory.

The other Air Nominees are Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins and Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

This is Newton’s third nomination of the season.
