Panthers Release Seven Players
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Panthers roster was reduced to 75 Tuesday. WR Jarrett Boykin and CBÂ Melvin White are among those seven players who were released.
Jarrett Boykin who graduated from Butler High School and went on to play college football with Virginia Tech, was a free agent signed by the Panthers this offseason after spending three years with the Green Bay Packers.
CB Melvin White was signed by the Panthers as an undrafted free agent in 2013 out of Louisiana Lafayette. In two seasons, White started 17 games for the Panthers and had 83 tackles, 11 pass break ups, and three interceptions.Â
The following players were also released by the Panthers Tuesday:

S Robert Lester
WR De’Andre Presley
OT Davonte Wallace
DT Micanor Regis
The final deadline for the 53 man roster is due September 5th at 4 p.m.
