Lotululei to miss time at camp

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (WCCBone space Charlotte)one space — Star Lotululei’s season is off to a rocky start.

Lotululei left Monday’s practice and was seen in a walking boot on his right foot. The team’s trainer, Ryan Vermillion labeled it as a stress reaction.

“Star has a stress reaction in his foot,”one space Vermillion said in a statement released by the team. “We are going to be cautious. He is in a walking boot and we will reevaluate his foot in a few weeks.”

Head coach Ron Rivera told the media that he did not believe the injury to be too serious after practice. The tests and subsequent information released by the team’s trainer turned out to be different.

Star Lotululei, a 6-2, 320 pound defensive tackle, is entering his third year with the team. He recorded 25 tackles and two sacks in 14 games in 2014.
