Kick off to Summer Reading

The Baker Memorial Library in Timmonsville will host its annual Kick Off to Summer Reading program. This event is to promote early literacy and to encourage parents to bring their children to the library to enjoy the different art forms including activities to reinforce learning. The children will participate in face painting, balloon sculpting, storytelling, and crafts with Home Depot. Dewey D. Fox, the library mascot, will be here for a Meet and Greet with his fans. Mad Science and Chris Lee & his Steel Drums will also be on hand to provide entertainment. The program will be Monday, June 8, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
