53rd Annual Canadian-American Days Festival
The 2014 Canadian American Days Festival is set for March 8 through March 16, 2014. It is shaping up to be another fantastic event here in the Myrtle Beach area. Before the fun officially kicks off on March 8, the Canadian consulate will welcome visitors on March 7 who are in town for this year’s Can-Am Days. An information booth will be available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, located at 1200 N. Oak St., in Myrtle Beach. On March 10 at 6 p.m., the 53rd Annual Canadian American Days Festival Concert Series Kickoff gets underway at Celebrity Square at Broadway at the Beach. This kickoff, hosted by the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Myrtle Beach Mobile and TD Bank, will feature The Burlington Teen Tour Band, Searson, The Andrew Thielen Big Band and other performances. The Burlington Teen Tour Band will be featured at other community concerts over the next several days: March 12 at Myrtle Beach Mall, starting at 12 p.m. KingShazaam will perform starting at 1:15 p.m. March 13 at Inlet Square Mall, starting at 10 a.m. The Burlington Teen Tour Band will perform from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by the Javier Jazz Project from 12 to 1 p.m. Then, the Low Country Barbershop Chorus will perform from 1 to 2 p.m. March 14 at Coastal Grand Mall, starting at 12 p.m. At 1:30 p.m., the Blues Brothers from Legends in Concert will perform. Also, on March 16, the Festive Brass of Myrtle Beach will perform at 3 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Myrtle Beach, located at 901 N. Kings Hwy., in Myrtle Beach. More information about the 2014 Can-Am Days will be posted as it becomes available.
