Floyd, Leon

(June 3, 1949 – May 28, 2011) Mullins- Leon “Bug” Floyd, Jr., 61, died Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Carolinas Hospital System after a brief illness. He was born in Marion County, a son of the late Leon and Elouise Floyd. Mr. Floyd was predeceased in addition to his parents by his wife, Gwendolyn Caulder Floyd, and one sister, Edna Cusaac. He is survived by his step-mother Selena Floyd of Mullins, three daughters, Amanda (Shane) Clark of Nichols, Tynie (Tripp) Smith of Mullins, and Cricket (Danny) Kitchen of Mullins; one brother, Allen (Dawn) Floyd of Mullins; three sisters, Linda Boggs of Florence, Brenda Faye Floyd of Hartsville, and Judy Skipper of Florence; eight grandchildren, Kirsten and Holden Clark, Evan and Jesse Smith, Kelsey and Robert Sarvis, and Matthew and Hannah Kitchen, and a close friend, Tommie Michaw of Rock Hill. A graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, May 30, 2011 at Riverside Cemetery in Nichols. An online guest book is available at mearesfh.com.
