Joye, Minnie
Minnie Pearl Fowler Joye, 68, the beloved wife of Henry Norris Joye, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday morning, May 5, 2011, at the Tidelands Community Hospice House. Mrs. Joye was born a daughter of Kinoth Fowler and Jennette Graham Fowler on December 2, 1942, in Loris. She was a 1960 graduate of the Green Sea High School; was a retired manager of Cato‘s; and was a charter member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School teacher for many years. Pearl and Norris were married December 7, 1960 and celebrated 50 years together. She leaves behind: her mother; four brothers, Charles Fowler, Melvin Fowler, Roger (Jean) Fowler, and Wayne (Sylvia) Fowler; two sisters, Frances Eulene (Harvey) Avant and Gail (Jimmy) Nealey; and a large number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father; and a infant sister, Ruthene Fowler. A Home Going Celebration will be 5 PM, Saturday, May 7, 2011, at the Cornerstone Baptist Church with interment in the Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens directed by the Georgetown Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.
