LAKE CITY: Ruth “Libby” Elizabeth Floyd, 61, wife of Gene Leonard Floyd, died, Monday December 27, 2010 at McLeod Regional Medical Center after an illness. Mrs. Floyd was born May 7, 1949, in Florence County, a daughter of late Myers and Miriam Nettles Tedder. She attended J.C. Lynch High School and was of the Holiness Faith. Mrs. Floyd was a devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother. Surviving are her husband, Gene L. Floyd of Lake City; a daughter, Tammy Floyd Brown and her husband, Bryan of Scranton; two sons, William “Pee Wee” Floyd and Tony O‘Neil Floyd, both of Lake City; seven grandchildren, Brooke Elizabeth Scurry, Gavin Feagin, Dustin Feagin, Hanna Elizabeth Brown, Ryan Megan Brown, Peyton Bennet Brown and Alan Trent Floyd; two sisters, Nadine McCutcheon and Lizzie Tedder, both of Coward; two brothers, John Tedder of Coward and Bob Tedder of PA; and a number of nieces and nephews and in laws. Mrs. Floyd was predeceased by two sisters, Earline West and Linda Faye Miles; and a brother, Nelson Tedder. Funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 29, 2010, in Floyd‘s Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial in the church cemetery, directed by Carolina Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Carolina Funeral Home, 215 E. Highway 378 ByPass, Scranton, SC.
