Appollo, Julia Mary Gregory

Julia Mary Gregory Appollo 90 of Aberdeen passed Tuesday November 9, 2010 at Kingswood Nursing Center in Aberdeen. Mrs. Appollo was born October 16, 1920 in Bound Brook, NJ; to the late Francis Gregory and Mary Bobak Gregory. A private family committal service will be at a later date in New Jersey. Julia loved all animals especially cats, dogs and squirrels. She would feed any type of stray that would wander on her porch. All were welcome and well fed. In WW II Julia worked in a Piston Ring factory for the War effort. Mrs. Appollo is survived by her son, Dr. Joseph Appollo and wife Marilynn of Southern Pines; a brother, Charles Gregory and his wife, Shirley of Morris Plains, NJ; three grandchildren, Annmarie Edwards and husband Eric of Coastal, NC; Arlene Appollo of Brookville, OH; and Andrea Greene and husband Trent of Denver, NC; five great grandchildren, Emily Gordon, Eric Gordon, Trevor Greene, Austin Greene and Graecen Edwards. Julia was well loved by all including many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Barney Appollo and three brothers, Harold Gregory, Thomas Gregory and Francis Gregory. In lieu of flowers or donations, the family requests that, in memory of Julia, you visit someone in a hospital or nursing home soon.
