Marguerite M. Cox

September 10, 1940 – October 08, 2010 Marguerite “Buck” Moore Cox, age 70, passed away Friday, October 8, 2010 at her home following an illness. Mrs. Cox was born September 10, 1940 in Mullins, SC a daughter of the late John Gillie Moore and the late Pearl Buffkin Moore. She was retired from Marlene Industries and was a member of Glendale Baptist Church. Mrs. Cox was predeceased by one son, Jeffrey Lynn Cox, one sister, Wilma Ruth Lovette, and one brother, Junior Hardee. Survivors include three children, Ramona Dew, Dillon Cox, and Wendy Long all of Loris, her special nieces and nephews, Donald Lovette of Myrtle Beach, Mike Lovette and his wife Sherry of Green Sea, Derhonda Bonnette of Loris, and Phyllis Elvington and her husband Charles of Green Sea, and three grandchildren, Angie Dew, Opal Dew, and Jeffrey Long. The family will receive friends Monday, October 11, 2010 from 6-8 pm at Ward Funeral Home in Loris. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at Glendale Baptist Church with the Rev. Roger Chestnut and Mrs. Phyllis Elvington officiating. Burial will follow in the Princeville Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Glendale Baptist Church, 950 Highway 747, Loris, SC 29569.
