The Panthers Release Three Veterans


CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Carolina Panthers have released four players this week to clear salary cap space.

The Panthers reportedly released safety Tre Boston on Friday. Boston had two years left on a three-year, $18 million deal he signed in March of 2020.

On Friday, they also released defensive end Stephen Weatherly and punter Michael Palardy. This comes after they released veteran defensive tackle Kawann Short on Tuesday.

The Panthers now have about $31.5 million of cap space to work with.
