CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The first ever virtual NFL draft went off without a hitch for the Carolina Panthers.
With the seventh overall pick the Panthers selected Auburn defensive tackle Derrick Brown. Brown should help improve a Carolina defensive line that lost a lot of players through free agency and was terrible at stopping the run last season.
Last season as a senior at Auburn, the 6-foot-5, 326 pound Brown was a unanimous consensus All-American.
