CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Carolina Panthers begin the season with an uphill battle. They are 0-2 and their All-Pro running back, Christian McCaffrey, is out with a high ankle sprain.
When the Panthers take on the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday they could also be without left tackle Russell Okung. He missed practice Thursday with a groin injury. The Panthers are already without tackle Dennis Daley, who is also dealing with a high ankle sprain.
Okung is hopeful he can play against his former team Sunday.
