Got Game: What Should New Panthers GM Scott Fitterer Do First?

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — In case you missed it, the search is over, Carolina has a new general manager and his name is Scott Fitterer.

Fitterer was the last of the Panthers 15 candidates to interview virtually on Monday but he made a great impression very fast. The 47-year-old was here in Charlotte on Wednesday for an in-person interview and will now be the guy tasked with building a consistent winner.

According to ESPN it’s a 5-year deal. Fitterer comes to the Panthers after serving as the Seahawks’ Vice President of Football Operations.

He started working for Seattle in 2001, mainly focusing on evaluating the collegiate level.

In a statement Owner David Tepper said,”Scott was the best fit for the organization.”
