CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Former Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera is officially cancer free, according to his daughter Courtney Rivera.
Courtney Rivera took to Twitter to share the good news, and thanked everyone for their support and prayers.

Stephanie Rivera, his wife, also took to Twitter on Thursday to announce her husband is now in the clear after receiving a negative PET scan.

In October of 2020, Rivera completed his last cancer treatment at Inova hospital in Northern Virginia, and his wife tweeted out a message of hope to other cancer patients.

ESPN reporter Adam Schefter first relayed the news of Rivera’s cancer back in August of 2020, after Rivera told Schefter he was diagnosed with lymph node cancer.
